If I were a pirate and Max was a monkey, I would carry him around on my shoulder all the time, like this.

Max as a naked monkey on his dad's shoulder

Also I find it amusing that I think a small black square will somehow protect Max's dignity when this photo is inevitably found by his middle school classmates and posted all over the halls.

All of the above of super entertaining. Case in point:
monkey, penguin and daddy

Why yes, that is the exact same expression on their faces...

and apparently, the cloth dipe is endlessly entertaining
the cloth dipe is fascinating

but so is the penguin

and the monkey, well, don't we already know how fascinating the monkey is?

I think the monkey has a little problem. Too many bananas and he's all, "let's go play peekaboo. come on, it'll be AWESOME. Man, I love you man. no REALLY. I love you man!"

who is hiding?

peekaboo

monkey sees you

right after this shot, he totally passed out. luckily, he was already in the bouncy seat.

These are not the pacis your are looking for. Move along.
"These are not the binkys you are looking for."

No, really! Come on guys! Not the pacis you are looking for!

Max has really turned on the facial expressions lately. Mostly it's just smirks that totally make him look like his uncle Charlie and grampy Mr. Tom.

I think that with his pointy chin, big cheeks, triangle smile and half round eyes, when he smiles he looks like a Maurice Sendak character drawn anime style.

huh?

giggly monkey

Why yes, that IS a monkey thinking about a banana on his shirt!

Originally, Max was wearing a very cute outfit of overalls. Then there was a poo-splosion. Thus the airplanes make their last appearance. They're a little too small on him, but it didn't seem to matter when he was hanging out with Miz Karen.

First he showed Miz Karen his monkey:

She asked if it was his favorite. He said yes.

Then he explained he did NOT want to share the monkey.

This is what I've come to, bad Temple of Doom references. At least I haven't started calling him Short Round.

(Yet. Come on, you know it's coming. I can't resist that.)

Max and friends--week 9

He totally looks scared of something. My guess is it's the monkey.

Wednesday, February 4, 2009

I think Max and Mr. Monkey have made up.

Though Max was wary at first...

Mr. Monkey was pretty convincing.

and then the smooching started

and the giggling.

But you can still practically hear Mr. Monkey's snicker.
